Pastor John spoke about key components that affect your constellation throughout the book. Some of these are being plantedness, recognising your spiritual father, your spirituality, your choices, and the words that come out of your mouth.
Reading this book, I had to examine my heart to find out whether or not I am a Laban or being affected by a Laban and whether or not I have an Esau heart condition. I could very easily recognise that I have positioned myself to receive from others and that that is not God’s best for me.
What really ministered to me was the emphasis placed on plantedness and how it affects your constellation. I recognise that it is a HUGE part of God’s constellation for me when He placed me with Pastor John and Sharon. And it is only since God has planted me with them that I have started to grow in the Lord. In the book, Pastor John mentioned that it is the messages that your pastor speaks on a Sunday that are going to unlock all that God has for you. And when you do not receive those messages, you are despising your birthright (just like Esau did), and thus you will not receive anything.
“God knows your specific dietary requirements”
This quote reminded me of the song “Loving Faithful Father” where it says, “Look at the sparrow, how it goes, for You care”. God knows what He is doing. God has spoken into Jacob’s future, establishing his order before he was born, and He has done the same for us. Everything you need to enter into all that God has for you, you will find being planted.
